Crawford County Sheriff Kirk A. Wakefield is offering two complimentary two-day hunter’s safety schools instructed by Sergeant Randal Herman and Deputy Alexander.  The schools run from:

First class:
Saturday, September 18, 2010 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, September 19, 2010 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Second class:
Saturday, October 2, 2010 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 3, 2010 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The school will be held at the Crawford Ausable High School cafeteria located at 1135 N Old US-27. A lunch break will be held on Saturday and Sheriff Kirk Wakefield suggests that all participants bring a bag lunch and a drink.

Participants should be at least 12 years of age.  Upon successful completion of the school, participants will receive a Michigan Hunter’s Safety Certificate.

We are limiting the class to the first forty (40) participants (per class) and must register by calling Theresa Andrews at the sheriff’s office at (989) 344-3213, Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are not registered prior to the class, you will not be admitted into the class.
