S.T.I.N.G. is a six county wide Drug Enforcement Partnership committed to enforcement action on drug related crimes in north eastern Michigan. The Team is a cooperative effort of County Sheriff's, MSP Posts, and local police agencies.
S.T.I.N.G. stands for Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group. The Crawford County Sheriff's Office has one full time officer dedicated to this unit. The funds are provided on a per capita basis by the local townships, cities, county funding along with grants from the state and federal governments.
