     Crawford County Sheriff, Kirk A. Wakefield states we are looking for you. Sheriff Wakefield has implemented a warrant pick up program throughout his office.

   Due to years of budget restraints placed on Crawford County and the Sheriff's Office in particular. Lapse in service have occurred. With the passage of the Crawford County Law Enforcement Millage, Sheriff Wakefield has been able to reestablish 24 hour road patrol and now is trying to track down those people that have current warrants for their arrest.

     As of January 31st, 2006 there are 462 current outstanding warrants issued in Crawford County. All of Sheriff Wakefield's Officers will be making attempts to track these people down. Wakefield states, "If you have a warrant for your arrest out of Crawford County, turn yourself in before we knock on your door or visit you at work."
