Crawford County Sheriff, Kirk A. Wakefield states that
On April 10, 2006 at approximately 4:59 a.m. Crawford County Central Dispatch, dispatched Sheriff’s Office Deputies, MMR and Beaver Creek Township Fire Department to a rollover accident on north US-127 near the 228-mile marker. When officers arrived at the scene of the accident the driver of the vehicle was walking around the vehicle. The passenger was lying in the middle of US-127 after being ejected through the passenger side window, as he was not wearing his seat belt. Both subjects were transported to Grayling Mercy hospital, where the passenger was air lifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. The driver was treated and released. Driver of the vehicle was 57-year-old Cranston Harris from Michigan City, Indiana. The passenger was 48-year-old Ron Wymer from Hastings, Michigan. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
