On April 11th, 2007 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the Crawford County Sheriff's Office and S.T.I.N.G Narcotics Drug Team, assisted by the Grayling City Police Department, initiated a drug warrant round up of nineteen (19) suspects in Crawford County. The warrants consisted of selling ecstasy, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and possession of stolen firearms. Out of the nineteen (19) warrants issued twelve (12) suspects were arrested with seven (7) additional suspects being sought. Ages of the arrestees ranged from 18 to 50 years of age, with some suspects being arrested on more than ten (10 felony counts, each.
I am happy to inform the residents of Crawford County this is one of the largest drug arrest round ups in the past twenty (20) years with more arrests coming.
These arrests came from over six (6) months of intense investigative work by S.T.I.N.G. Narcotics Team and Crawford County Sheriff Deputies.
