October 10th, 2007

     Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield states that at approximately 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2007 Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 20 year-old Grayling Township man on multiple felony counts. The arrest is the result of an investigation of several residential break and enterings and one business that had just occurred.

The break-ins occurred at four different locations. The subject is also suspected of attempting to steal four different vehicles in the area. Upon locating the subject, a stolen ORV was recovered along with other property taken earlier.  After the subject was taken into custody he damaged a police vehicle by kicking the rear window.

The original call for assistance was received at approximately 1:30 a.m. on 10-9-07. The four hours spent locating the subject, as he committed additional crimes, is believed will net at least twelve felony counts against him. The investigation will continue, and the subject’s name will be released pending his arraignment.
