Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

     Sheriff Kirk A. Wakefield states that on Tuesday November 6th,  2007 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a multiple vehicle accident with injuries located on M-72 near M-18 in South Branch Township, Crawford County Michigan.

     It was a 2 vehicle accident with 5 injuries. One female was pregnant and an infant were among the injured. Driver of vehicle one lost control crossing the center line and struck the other vehicle in a T-bone type collision. Extrication was required to get one injured person out of the vehicle. All 5 subjects were transported to Grayling Mercy Hospital for treatment. Weather conditions (the roads were snow covered and slippery at the location) contributed to the accident.

     Agency’s Assisting:  Mobile Medical Response (MMR Ambulance), South Branch Township Fire and EMS, and the Grayling City Police Department.
