     Sheriff Kirk A. Wakefield reports that yesterday, Thursday,
February 28^th, concluded a week long round up of drug arrests in Crawford County.  S.T.I.N.G. narcotics officers, supported by Crawford County Deputies, have arrested eleven (11) suspects ranging in age from 17 to 50 years old with charges ranging from possession to delivery of pills, cocaine and marijuana.  All charges are pending court arraignments.  The final arrest occurred late Thursday afternoon and involved an ex-police officer charged for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana.  All the arrested suspects were booked and had bonds set.  These arrests are the result of a yearlong investigation regarding tips, complaints and surveillance of suspected drug traffickers in Crawford County and surrounding counties.
