     Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield reports that at approximately 6:00 pm on Monday 8-11-08, Detectives from STING and Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a residence within the City of Grayling.

Officers were acting on an anonymous tip that a “shipment” of marijuana had arrived in Grayling recently. Officers developed additional information and were able to secure a search warrant for a residence within the City of Grayling.  Seized in the search was approximately ¾ of a pound of marijuana and eight long guns.

The investigation is ongoing and arrest warrants will be sought for multiple individuals.
