     Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield states that a joint investigation by his office and the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office is being conducted.  The investigation focuses on a check fraud and embezzlement case that involves waste disposal.

Currently, Deputies are attempting to locate a ten yard roll-off style dumpster that has been used in the fraud.  The dumpster is brown in color and is eight feet wide, fourteen feet long and thirty-two inches high with the name “A-1 Discount Container” printed on the side.  It is believed to be at a construction site within 40 miles of Grayling.  It is believed that the person renting the dumpster has no knowledge the container is stolen.  The owner of the dumpster is “RLN Corporation”, which is owned locally by Jerry and Linda Northrup.
