NEWS BRIEF
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield advises that on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 3:13 a.m., Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an armed robbery of Beacon and Bridge Market (convenience store) in Frederic. The calling party indicated he had been robbed at knifepoint for an undetermined amount of cash then fled on foot. The person was described as being a white male, approximately 6’2”, medium build, wearing black clothing and black ski mask. The employee sustained no injuries.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Michigan State Police - Houghton Lake Post, are investigating the incident. The sheriff’s office has several leads in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
