NEWS BRIEF
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk A. Wakefield states that on Thursday, February 11, 2010, after a two-month investigation of several alleged violations of the Social Security Number Privacy Act laws. The Crawford County Prosecutor issued a 24-count misdemeanor warrant for the Grayling City Manager, David A. Thayer, who was arrested and charged with 24 counts of disseminating confidential information to a member of the public without permission to do so. Each of the charges carries up to 93 days in jail and/or $1,000.00 fine.
