NEWS BRIEF
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield states that his office received information on a positive identification of the human remains found in a house fire that occurred in Grayling Township on November 21, 2008. A DNA analysis and comparison was completed through the Michigan State Police, which confirmed that the deceased is Richard Lee Williams of Grayling. The remains were burned to a point that normal means of identification were not possible. Foul play has been ruled out and the fire has been deemed accidental.
