NEWS BRIEF
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield states that on Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 at 7:04 pm, Deputies were dispatched to a motorcycle / van accident with injuries at the intersection of Stephan Bridge Rd and Shaw Park Rd.
The driver of the van was struck by the motorcycle throwing both the driver and passenger from the bike. The driver of the motorcycle, Joseph Roby 23 y/o of Grayling was airlifted to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City in critical condition. The female passenger, Annie Spencer 27 y/o of Grayling was pronounced dead at Grayling Mercy Hospital. The driver of the van was not injured. This incident remains under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriffs Office.
Crawford County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted by the Grayling Police Dept, the Grayling City & Township Fire Department, M.M.R (Mobile Medical Response) EMS units, a North Flight EMS Helicopter and a LifeNet EMS helicopter from Saginaw.
