NEWS BRIEF
Crawford County Sheriff Kirk Wakefield states that on Monday, May 31st, 2010 at approximately 10:26 p.m., Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident with injuries in South Branch Township on M-72 near Sunrise Road.
Deputies arrived at the scene to find two Good Samaritans providing aid to the driver of the motorcycle. James Wilson Walker, 52 y/o from Burton, Michigan was traveling east on M-72 when he struck a deer in the roadway causing him to lose control and lay the motorcycle down. The man died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained from the accident. This incident remains under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by M.M.R. (Mobile Medical Response) EMS units and South Branch Fire Department.
